This full renovation and addition transformed a rustic log-cabin style home into a light-filled modern farmhouse. Nestled on a scenic acreage, the design took full advantage of the property’s natural beauty—orienting the kitchen to catch the morning light and tucking the primary suite into a quiet, tree-sheltered corner of the home.
With tall ceilings, expansive windows, and refined architectural detailing, each room feels both elevated and grounded. A thoughtful mix of textures, neutral tones, and authentic, non-toxic materials brings warmth and calm throughout—creating a cohesive home that supports wellbeing and everyday living.
The plumbing fixtures were important to this client whose husband is a plumber. The clean lines and organic shapes of these sculptural bath fixtures took center stage as a main design feature of the bathroom.
This bathroom is chock full of beautiful details. The ledge below the window holds candles or wine and safely anchors the wall-mounted bath filler. Oversized tiles with a soothing fluted wood texture echo the solid hardwood floors throughout the home.
The large windows in this kitchen were set at counter height to maximize the beautiful country views. This required careful coordination during construction and meant electrical outlets had to be accommodated differently.
"She was able to help with any issue that came up on our remodel and addition project. She kindly persuaded me to do some things differently and I’m so glad she did! Everything turned out beautifully and beyond what I envisioned. She was very professional and prompt with every detail of the project. I would highly recommend Michele’s help with your project!"
